How we are doing our part in leaving a green foot print

Did I forget to mention we are a Sustainable Salon?

This means we recycle 95% of everything we use and are aiming to make that 100%.

 Everyday we are contributing to our beautiful earth in the best way we can.

How do we do that ?

In our salon we do hundreds of colours which means there is always chemical waste left over that ends up in the bin, but with us we actually have a chemical waste bin that we dispose all our wastage in. this prevents dangerous chemicals from going in landfill or unnecessarily down our drains.
All the thousands of foils we do a day we actually put into separate bins as well same with our plastic, paper, metal and glass everyday we categorise all this rubbish and get if ready for Sustainable Salons  to come and collect each fortnight.

All your hair clippings gets recycled too!

If your hair is 20cm long we can actually donate your hair for you to help make wigs for kids in need, did you know it takes 20-25 ponytails to make 1 wig?

Every other hair that gets cut all goes towards a great cause too, it is put into these hair booms that then gets put into our ocean to help clean oil spillage.
Other hair can also be used as a natural fertiliser because hair holds a lot of natural nutrients.

With sustainable salons like us doing what we can it actually helps Charitys such as the Oz Harvest foundation and Kiwi Harvest to provide meals for the homeless.

Did you know?
We wash you hair with our special ECO Heads this Removes unwanted minerals in our water and reduces wastage up to 65% and are 100% recycable.

​

Our hot water systems are also Solar heated to avoid using as much Gas and Electricity as possible.
